Job Responsibilities:
- Design telecommunications systems for marine and oil & gas projects.
- Prepare and review technical documents, specifications, and bid evaluations.
- Create and maintain equipment lists, cable schedules, and project documentation.
- Review AutoCAD drawings such as layouts, cable diagrams, and termination drawings.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with electrical, instrumentation, vendors, and project teams.
- Attend client meetings, provide technical support, and lead FAT activities.
Job requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications engineering within the marine or oil & gas industry.
- Good knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
- Familiar with ATEX and IECEx requirements and hazardous area installations.
- Experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
- Excellent vendor management and coordination skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
