The role is responsible for driving execution, implementation coordination, modernisation initiatives and governance follow-through across enterprise IT programmes.
The role works closely with Applications, Infrastructure, Data, Cybersecurity teams, vendors and stakeholders to coordinate implementation activities, manage dependencies, monitor progress, resolve delivery bottlenecks and drive technology adoption across concurrent programmes.
The role also serves as the technology champion for selected strategic technology capabilities and platforms, supporting evaluation, onboarding, implementation, operationalisation and adoption across the organisation.
The role requires a hands-on individual who is capable of balancing delivery leadership with practical execution support, operational problem solving, implementation follow-through and technology enablement activities
Primary Objectives of Position
- Strengthen execution discipline, implementation follow-through and delivery outcomes across enterprise IT initiatives.
- Improve visibility, dependency management and delivery coordination across concurrent programmes.
- Reduce reliance on senior leadership for operational coordination and follow-up activities.
- Improve governance, accountability and implementation outcomes across projects and operational initiatives.
- Support operational problem resolution and delivery recovery activities where required.
- Strengthen technology modernisation capability through the evaluation, onboarding, operationalisation and adoption of strategic platforms, engineering practices and enterprise technology capabilities.
Major Responsibilities
- Drive implementation follow-through across modernisation, operational and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate dependencies, risks, issues and actions across teams, vendors and stakeholders.
- Monitor programme progress and escalate delivery concerns where required.
- Support steering committee preparation, governance reviews and management reporting activities.
- Facilitate implementation planning, rollout coordination and operational readiness activities.
- Identify execution bottlenecks and drive timely resolution.
- Support vendor management and implementation governance activities.
- Participate in selected project activities, implementation reviews and operational problem-solving sessions.
- Perform hands-on analysis, validation and delivery support activities where required.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen delivery effectiveness and execution discipline.
- Lead the evaluation, proof-of-concept, onboarding, implementation and adoption of new technology platforms, tools and engineering capabilities across the organisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery, scalability, security and operational efficiency through the adoption of modern technology platforms and practices.
- Own, champion and act as the subject matter lead for assigned strategic technology capabilities and platforms such as API gateways, integration platforms, CI/CD pipelines, platform engineering, cloud-native technologies and developer productivity tools.
- Work closely with Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and vendors to establish implementation approaches, operating models, governance and adoption plans for new technology capabilities.
- Develop reference architectures, implementation guidelines, onboarding approaches and best practices to support implementation and adoption across teams.
- Guide, mentor and support Applications and Infrastructure teams in the implementation, operationalisation and adoption of newly introduced platforms and capabilities.
- Support and accelerate application modernisation initiatives through the introduction and adoption of strategic technology capabilities and common platforms.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their applicability to SBST's modernisation and operational objectives.
Job Specifications
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Solution Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise IT delivery, programme execution, implementation management or operational governance.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Experience supporting both project delivery and operational environments preferred.

- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering and modern software delivery practices preferred.
- Experience evaluating, onboarding and operationalising enterprise technology platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with application modernisation, cloud migration and technology transformation initiatives preferred.
