Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring Bakery equipment are maintained in proper working order. Support dept for Operations to supply of daily meals to Prisons. Provide planning support to ensure the smooth execution of facility services in line with workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and directly supervise maintenance vendors to administer the daily maintenance programme for Bakery equipment
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise contractor tasks during Bakery closures to complete facility works efficiently
• Maintain proper storage, inventory control, and adequate stock levels for spare parts to ensure operational readiness
• Coordinate monthly facility soft services including Bakery cleaning, pest control, and floor/grease trap cleaning to maintain hygiene standards
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and preventive maintenance issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
• Ensure contractors comply with Prison security regulations and workplace safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
• Facilitate monthly Workplace Safety and Health inspections and collaborate with Bakery Operations to implement WHSO recommendations
• Maintain accurate records and follow up on quotations for spare parts, service reports, and ensure timely submission of monthly invoices
• Collaborate with Senior Manager to submit annual conditional assessments and monthly health status reports of Bakery equipment
• Raise purchase requests and draft equipment specifications by liaising with vendors and contractors for new equipment or spare parts
• Provide administrative support for maintenance-related functions to ensure smooth operations
• Perform any other duties assigned by Senior Manager, Maintenance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Education

• Higher Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or Facility Management

Experience

• Experience managing multiple groups of contracted vendors
• Knowledge of Bakery equipment and facilities management

Skills

• Communicate effectively and build strong interpersonal relationships in a fast-paced, restricted work environment
• Understand electrical and mechanical systems to support maintenance and troubleshooting
• Apply hands-on technical repair skills to resolve equipment issues
• Use Microsoft Office proficiently for documentation and reporting
