Job Summary
The Senior Hotel Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for the oversight of all maintenance and repair activities throughout the hotel.
This role requires advanced technical skills and leadership abilities to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of hotel technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
- Complex Repairs & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair advanced issues with hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements.
- Preventative Maintenance Program: Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for all hotel equipment and systems to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Project Management: Assist to manage larger maintenance and renovation projects, coordinating with external vendors and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with all hotel departments to address maintenance needs and support hotel operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Advanced knowledge of building systems, including complex HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Certifications in relevant trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills, with a professional and service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call availability for emergencies.
