Angle Recruitment is partnering with a well-established shipping company in Singapore that is expanding its technical team. We are seeking an experienced Senior Vessel Manager to oversee the safe, reliable, and cost-effective technical management of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company standards, Class, Flag, and international regulations
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, dry-dockings, inspections, and technical budgeting
- Monitor vessel performance, machinery reliability, and defect rectification
- Ensure effective implementation and optimisation of Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS)
- Support HSQE compliance and lead incident investigations where required
- Attend vessels, shipyards, audits, and dry-dockings as necessary
- Act as a technical mentor within the team and support fleet reliability initiatives
Requirements
- Sailed to Chief Engineer (Unlimited)
- Tanker experience strongly preferred
- Shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent within a shipowner or ship management environment
- Strong technical knowledge of vessel systems and regulatory compliance
- Solid commercial awareness, including budgeting and cost control
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing team environment
