Perform daily maintenance and upkeep of all LSS programming equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Supervise external vendors and contractors during facility repairs, enhancements, and project-related activities
Carry out routine servicing and corrective maintenance of all LSS facility programming systems
Ensure aquarium‑specific programming equipment consistently operates at the highest standards to support optimal water quality for animal health and clear visibility
Operate, monitor, and maintain all essential components of LSS programming, system operations, and maintenance activities
Troubleshoot programming‑related issues and recommend design or process improvements
Apply strong technical expertise in programming maintenance, including design, specification review, automation, and complex problem solving
Work with fabricators, tradesmen, technicians, engineers, and other specialists to achieve project and operational objectives
Liaise with internal BUs, external engineering teams, workshops, and equipment suppliers to support continuous improvement of LSS operations
Adhere to and promote all safety procedures and best practices within the LSS environment
Interpret design documents, specifications, and technical schematics
Perform duties at outdoor areas exposed to weather conditions, construction sites requiring adherence safety precautions, confined mechanical rooms, and standard indoor office settings
Requirements:
NITEC & above in Programming or related disciplines
Experience in programming maintenance
Experience with large-scale aquatic life support and filtration systems in a zoo or aquarium setting
AALSO Life Support Operator Level I certification
Relevant advanced programming knowledge and technical proficiency
Basic swimming ability is preferred for safety-related task
Advanced understanding of automated control systems, pneumatics, electro‑mechanical components, and electro‑optical technologies
