Job Description

About The Role

We are seeking a (Senior) Technical Product Manager to lead the continued development and strategic direction of Data2Evidence, our open-source, OHDSI-native research software platform for ingesting, managing, and analyzing multi-modal healthcare data.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You will own the product vision and roadmap, lead the Singapore-based product team, and act as the primary authority for the platform. You will be working independently to shape market positioning while partnering closely with engineering, data science, design, and regional business development to deliver secure, standards-compliant tools for cohort discovery and analysis at scale.

You will report directly to the CEO, with close collaboration across our Germany and Singapore teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and strategic market positioning for Data2Evidence, independent of day-to-day engineering direction.
  • Lead and develop the Singapore product team.
  • Translate strategic priorities into a well-prioritized backlog, actionable features, and user stories.
  • Drive the end-to-end workflow across ETL pipelines, OMOP CDM standardization, and federated analytics architecture, ensuring technical decisions align with platform strategy.
  • Partner with Business Development and Projects leadership to align the roadmap with market needs, incorporating input from academia, pharma/industry, and health authority/regulatory stakeholders.
  • Ensure the platform meets and anticipates regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PDPA, PIPA) and is positioned for long-term compliance with emerging frameworks, including the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles using Agile methodologies.
  • Define and track product performance metrics, reporting outcomes and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Represent Data2Evidence within the OHDSI ecosystem and relevant partner networks to support adoption and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management/ownership, with demonstrated seniority in healthcare, research, or data-intensive software environments.
  • Strong technical proficiency and the ability to independently develop and defend a strategic product and market vision.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and bridge technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (OMOP CDM, FHIR, i2b2, DICOM, FASTQ/CRAM etc.) and experience across data types (EHR, Imaging, Genomics).
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and federated analytics architectures.
  • Experience with on-premises deployments.
  • Knowledge of data governance, access control, and federated network architectures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory/compliance frameworks relevant to health data platforms.
  • Experience building and contributing to open-source ecosystems and communities.
