Senior Technical Manager / Deputy Director
. A1 main contractor with well established in-house design team
. Leadership position in a cohesive work environment
. Large scale buildings / infrastructure projects
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical standards, specifications, and best practices for construction projects
- Provide expert technical guidance to both project team and design team
- Review and approve technical submissions, method statements, and shop drawings
- Review design proposals for constructability, cost efficiency, and buildability
- Manage value engineering and technical risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Lead internal technical audits and inspections
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems during construction
- Support tendering by reviewing technical proposals and construction methods
- Provide technical input for claims, variations, and disputes
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board
- Minimum 8 years of experience in large scale building/infrastructure projects with project value more than $150mil
- Good knowledge of local authorities requirement
- Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software
- Proven experience in senior technical or leadership roles
