Senior Technical Architect (Payments, Cards, Java, REST API, Microservices) )

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of end-to-end Payments and Card Processing platforms (issuing, acquiring, switching).

• Define and govern solution architecture for high-volume, low-latency, and highly available payment systems.

• Drive technical decisions for card networks integration (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, RuPay) and payment gateways.

• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, regulatory, and security standards.

• Collaborate with business, product, and delivery teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Mentor technical leads and development teams on architecture best practices.

• Review system designs, code quality, performance, and security aspects.

• Manage integration with external systems such as core banking, fraud, risk, settlement, and reconciliation.

• Support production systems with root-cause analysis and performance optimization.

Requirements:

• 10 years of overall IT experience with 8+ years in Payments / Cards domain.

• 9-10 years of experience in card issuing, acquiring, authorization, clearing & settlement.

• Deep knowledge of ISO 8583, EMV, 3-D Secure, tokenization, and fraud systems.

• Expertise in Java/J2EE, microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.

• Experience with high-throughput systems, scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.

• Strong understanding of PCI-DSS, security standards, and encryption/key management.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
