Roles and Responsibilities:
Application & System Support: Ensure maximum availability of mission-critical applications (e.g., POS, inventory systems, ERP) and troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues.
Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor network systems, servers, and hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, printers), and recommend improvements for better performance.
Retail Technology Implementation: Lead technical projects, including the installation, configuration, and testing of new software or hardware.
Automation & Optimisation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive, manual tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell.
Data & Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation, including system configurations and user manuals.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with external vendors for system maintenance and work with internal business users to understand requirements.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical training to junior staff and support teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications (SG Context):
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, MS Windows Server, IIS, and experience with ERP/transactional systems. Familiarity with retail-specific technologies like POS systems and cloud-based platforms is highly valued.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to perform root cause analysis and resolve critical, time-sensitive system incidents.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
