Duties & Responsibilities
Provide early intervention and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children with developmental delays or special needs.
Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) based on each child's developmental goals.
Plan and conduct engaging lessons that support language, social, cognitive, and motor development.
Work collaboratively with therapists (speech, occupational, and psychologists) to support holistic child development.
Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress and adjust teaching strategies when needed.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Work closely with parents and caregivers to support children's development beyond the classroom.
Maintain proper documentation of children's progress and developmental records.
Participate in team discussions, case reviews, and professional development sessions.
Requirements:
Possess Degree in Early Childhood and/or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention-Special Needs (ADESN)
At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the preschool environment or working with special needs children
Proficient in PECS, positive reinforcement and behavioral management strategies and other early intervention teaching methodology is referred
Proficient in crafting and planning of IEP
Good empathy, tolerance and temperament towards children is a must
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Able to work well independently as well as within a team
