Senior Teacher (EIP) - Northeast

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children with developmental delays or special needs.

• Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) based on each child's developmental goals.

• Plan and conduct engaging lessons that support language, social, cognitive, and motor development.

• Work collaboratively with therapists (speech, occupational, and psychologists) to support holistic child development.

• Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress and adjust teaching strategies when needed.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Work closely with parents and caregivers to support children's development beyond the classroom.

• Maintain proper documentation of children's progress and developmental records.

• Participate in team discussions, case reviews, and professional development sessions.

Requirements:

• Possess Degree in Early Childhood and/or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention-Special Needs (ADESN)

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the preschool environment or working with special needs children

• Proficient in PECS, positive reinforcement and behavioral management strategies and other early intervention teaching methodology is referred

• Proficient in crafting and planning of IEP

• Good empathy, tolerance and temperament towards children is a must

• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Able to work well independently as well as within a team
