Senior Tax Specialist, Finance (12-Month Contract)

Transfer pricing:

• Oversight of the transfer pricing matters, handle transfer pricing analysis and reporting for the entities in Malaysia.
• Manage and prepare transfer pricing documentation with HQ and external tax consultants to support intra-group transactions in compliance with local regulations
• Actively monitoring and assessing the transfer pricing models, pricing and policies within the entities in Malaysia to ensure they are in compliance with the Malaysian Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
• Provide advice on transfer pricing implications for new business initiatives and partnering with stakeholders from other departments to provide support on transfer pricing-related issues as and when required.
• Support transfer pricing audits, including responding to tax authorities on matters or queries relating to transfer pricing
• Contributing to transfer pricing planning and tax optimization strategies

Corporate and indirect taxes:

• Assist in managing tax compliance for corporate income tax and indirect tax matters for the entities in Malaysia.
• Assist in managing for direct and indirect tax compliance and tax reporting of the entities in Malaysia, including review or preparing of tax returns, where appropriate.
• Always up-to-date on the local and international tax regulations and able to assess the impact to business.
• Assist with research and implementation of various new business and tax initiatives which includes working closely with stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure that the tax risks are identified, considered and mitigated.
• Assist in handling and managing tax audits including responding to tax authorities on matters or queries with close collaboration with HQ and external tax consultants.
• Participate and coordinate in ad-hoc projects.

• Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Taxation and/or professional qualification with CTIM, ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, advanced taxation qualification or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a tax function in a Big 4 firm
• Experience in transfer pricing compliance and advisory is preferred
• Familiar with taxation on E-commerce/Logistics/Retail/FinTech industry
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment
• Able to manage project independently
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• An excellent team player, flexible with good attitude and pro-active in resolving issues
