Senior Tanker Research Analyst
Your Future Role
As a Senior Tanker Research Analyst, you will play a key role in expanding the geographical scope of the tanker freight research offering, with a particular focus on strengthening coverage across Asia. This position will contribute to both research development and client engagement, bringing region-specific expertise to a growing global team.
Your Mission
- Play a key role in developing and enhancing the tanker freight insights offering
- Produce independent analysis of current and forward-looking trends in tanker freight markets using internal and external data sources
- Communicate market insights through written reports, presentations, webinars, and direct engagement with clients and prospects
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to support the development of freight market data and tools
- Support sales and customer-facing teams in articulating the value of research and insights
Experience & Background
Essential:
- At least 5 years experience analysing liquid tanker freight markets
- Strong understanding of global commodity trade flows, freight arbitrage, key market participants, and core supply-demand drivers
- Proven track record of producing high-quality written analysis
- Experience working with multiple datasets and conducting complex analysis using appropriate tools
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Excel
Desirable:
- Experience using cargo tracking or market intelligence platforms
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or Tableau

Qualifications
