TheCUAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Systems Engineeris responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating technologies and systems that detect, track, and neutralize unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to create cutting-edge solutions that provide defense against unauthorized drone activity in both civilian and military environments. You will be responsible for ensuring that CUAS systems meet technical, operational, and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include system architecture development, requirements analysis, hardware and software integration, risk management, testing and validation, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support product lifecycle management. You will ensure the deployment and optimization of CUAS technologies, working with radar, sensors, communications, and countermeasure systems.

- Collaborate with the PMT, System Engineering and ICIT teams to understand the requirements and objectives for deploying the CUAS system at various sites.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of deploying CUAS and identify potential challenges or technical constraints.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, system engineers and site owners/security personnel, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the CUAS system.
- Provide technical support during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases of the CUAS system deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during deployment, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and operational personnel on the proper use and maintenance of the CUAS system.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in CUAS technology and security measures, incorporating them into the system design and deployment process.
- Assist in developing documentation, standard operating procedures, test plans, drone flight profiles and maintenance procedures for the deployed CUAS systems.
- Conduct trials for functional/performance testing of the deployed CUAS system and to continuously monitor the performance of such systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary updates or enhancements.
Qualities We Value
- Knowledge in Electrical Engineering or at least 3 years of field experience in ICIT / system deployment and system maintenance.
- Knowledge of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and their associated threats.
- Proficiency in system integration with preferred basic knowledge on network protocols.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to CUAS deployment in critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel to different sites for assessments, deployments, and support as needed.
- Possession of relevant certifications in work at height or related work health and safety knowledge would be an advantage.
