Lead the technical planning and delivery of IT infrastructure projects including system upgrades, migrations, new deployments and vendor coordination.
Drive continuous improvement of IT infrastructure across servers, networks and cloud platforms to enhance reliability, performance, security and scalability.
Serve as the escalation point for complex IT infrastructure issues, and provide hands-on technical guidance and mentoring to Systems Engineers.
Partner with departments and ministries to deliver the IT infrastructure needed for high-demand and large-scale church initiatives and events.
Support colleagues with day-to-day IT requests and work closely with vendors to ensure routine maintenance, deployments and system upkeep are carried out well.
Skills/Qualifications
Experience in Windows Server OS, virtualisation platforms (e.g., Nutanix), and cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 or AWS), including infrastructure and cloud platform architecture design.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls and VPN familiarity with cloud-managed networking platforms like Cisco Meraki and web security tools like Cloudflare.
Experience in infrastructure security including OS and network hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation and endpoint protection like CrowdStrike.
Experience implementing backup, disaster recovery and cloud storage solutions, including recovery planning, testing anddocumentation.
Core IT infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, enterprise email platforms, and storage technologies suchas SAN and NAS.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, good communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and a collaborative, service-oriented approach to work.
