Senior Sustainable Finance/ESG Business Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Sustainable Finance/ESG Business Analyst. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our sustainable finance vision across key markets, enabling sustainable business practices, and fostering stakeholder engagement. As a senior member of our team, you will lead market coordination efforts, drive sustainable business initiatives, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to various sustainability reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion the sustainable finance vision across the region, particularly in Singapore, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and India, by effectively communicating and disseminating sustainable finance guidelines, policies, and information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth research on sustainability topics, especially in sensitive sectors such as agriculture, oil & gas, and infrastructure, staying abreast of trends and issues to provide insights and recommendations.
• Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to monitor the bank's net zero progress across nine industry sectors, including power, automotive, shipping, real estate, and food and agribusiness, and drive necessary updates and improvements.
• Lead the development and execution of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and climate activation training agenda to enhance awareness and capabilities within the organization.
• Act as a primary point of contact for engagements with governmental agencies, industry associations, NGOs, and other relevant bodies on sustainability matters, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and synthesize information for various sustainability reporting mediums, including the Annual Sustainability Review, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Equator Principles, and Green Investment Principles for the Belt and Road Initiative.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates with banking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.
• Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with a focus on driving sustainable business outcomes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, and drive change within organizations.
