Role: Senior Surveyor

About the Role/Company:
- Lead and execute surveying and layout activities for an Oil and Gas plant(s)
- Ensure accurate site control, precision layout, reliable survey deliverables supporting engineering, construction, and quality assurance teams through the project
- Required experience in sectors: Oil and Gas / Industrial Plants / Heavy Industry
Responsibilities:
Survey Control & Measurement
- Establish, maintain, and verify horizontal and vertical primary survey control networks across the plant site.
- Perform high precision levelling, GNSS, and total-station surveys for layout, checks, and as-built verification.
- Set out control points, benchmarks, reference markers, and targets for construction, mechanical/electrical installation, instrumentation, and facility fit-out works.
Site Layout & As-Built Works
- Carry out site layout and setting-out tasks according to engineering drawings, design requirements, and project tolerances.
- Validate, process, and analyse survey data to produce accurate survey logs, coordinate lists, layout data, and as-built drawings.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, and QA/QC teams to ensure alignment between survey outputs and design intent.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior surveyors or survey crews where required.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all survey operations meet project standards for accuracy, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Comply with all relevant HSE and safety protocols, especially within an O&G or heavy-industrial environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree in Civil Engineering / Surveying / Geomatics / Related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of surveying experience in oil and gas / industrial plants
- Proficiency with GNSS receivers, base/rover setups, total stations, and digital/optical levelling equipment (e.g., Leica TS16, LS15, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems,datum transformations, network adjustments, and control-point establishment.
- Skilled in survey data processing tools, CAD/survey drawing software, and coordinate-processing applications.
- Solid ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to high-precision tolerances.
- Able to work onsite in industrial environments; strong communication and teamwork.
