Job Summary
The Supply Chain team plays an integral role in managing the company's purchasing, inventory, logistics and shipping operations, ensuring that the end-to-end supply flow from manufacturers to distribution partners is managed smoothly, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, this role will be responsible for inventory planning, supply and order management, 3PL coordination, procurement coordination and logistics operations. The role will work closely with internal teams, affiliates, distributors, suppliers and external logistics partners to develop supply plans, manage inventory and ensure customer requirements are met.
Duties and responsibilities
Supply Chain Management &Distribution
- Manage the import of products into countries and coordinate delivery to 3PL warehouses through freight forwarders.
- Maintain and monitor daily inventory reports from 3PL warehouse partners.
- Liaise with the local country team on product forecasting, order placement, inventory requirements and deliveries.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with overseas suppliers and ensure orders are placed in accordance with agreed lead times.
- Manage goods returns and inventory reconciliation activities with 3PL warehouse partners.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages, excess inventory and replenishment requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery to customers.
Supply Chain & Distribution -Singapore HQ / Regional Operations
- Receive customer and affiliate orders and place purchase orders in line with agreed lead times to ensure smooth inventory flow and timely order fulfilment.
- Liaise with freight forwarders to coordinate import and export shipments from Singapore, including third-party (3PL/3PB) shipments to customers outside Singapore.
- Work closely with distributors and suppliers to collect, consolidate, manage and submit supply and demand forecasts.
- Monitor sales orders and purchase orders across affiliates and identify demand patterns, potential supply constraints and supply risks.
- Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders on order status, shipment progress and potential delays.
- Work closely with affiliates to manage order processing and resolve purchase order discrepancies accurately and promptly.
- Prepare shipping and export documentation for orders to the global customer base.
- Receive and monitor inventory reports from 3PL warehouses and consignment warehouses across the region.
- Act as the key Supply Chain contact for assigned products/product lines and coordinate related supply chain activities.
- Ensure efficient and timely transportation of goods and services by coordinating closely with freight forwarders, warehouses and other logistics partners.
- Perform relevant transactions in SAP Business One (SAP B1), including purchase orders, sales orders, goods receipt notes and other relevant transactions.
- Maintain accurate supply chain records and prepare regular reports on order status, inventory, shipment progress and outstanding issues.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and collaborate with the Customer Service team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
Inventory Planning & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain effective inventory control and replenishment processes for assigned markets and product lines.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales trends and demand patterns to support appropriate replenishment planning.
- Identify and proactively resolve supply, inventory and logistics issues.
- Support the Supply Chain team and business in reviewing and improving processes to enhance operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and service levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain visibility, inventory management and transportation efficiency.
- Support other logistics, trade operations and supply chain activities as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- A relevant professional qualification in supply chain or logistics would be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics coordination, freight forwarding, procurement or trade operations.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical or life sciences industry is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in inventory planning, order management, procurement coordination, freight/logistics operations and 3PL management.
- Experience working with regional affiliates, distributors, suppliers and external logistics partners would be an advantage.
- Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is preferred.
