What The Role Is
JTC is Singapore's lead agency for industrial development, playing a key role in developing industrial infrastructure that supports the growth of new industries and drives enterprise transformation. As part of this role, we collect, compile, analyse and disseminate a wide range of industrial data and information.
We are looking for a statistician who is passionate about using data to uncover insights in the industrial property market. In this role, you will produce vital inputs that support planning, policy-making and process optimisation. You will also take ownership of the compilation and publication of industrial property statistics, while developing data and analytics solutions that address real business and operational challenges.
What You Will Be Working On
- Collect and process data for compilation and dissemination of industrial property statistics to promote market transparency and support data analytics projects.
- Research and explore data from multiple sources, working closely with domain experts to understand what the data represents. Part of the work will entail data cleaning, pre-processing, feature engineering and building relevant models and algorithms to derive meaningful insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to conduct analytical studies on trends in the economy, real estate market and industries, providing insights that inform policy review and JTC's development strategies.
- Communicate findings and present actionable recommendations clearly to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and machine learning to streamline workflows and automate processes.
What We Are Looking For
- Relevant qualifications in data science/analytics, statistics, computer science or subjects with substantial quantitative content. Candidates from other disciplines with professional certifications are welcome to apply.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Proficient in the use of open-source data analytics tools (e.g. Python and R), visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau and Power BI) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in AI, Machine Learning, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will be an advantage.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
