Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing radiological procedures, while working closely with doctors, radiographers, and the wider healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centred nursing care in accordance with established protocols, clinical standards, and organisational policies.
  • Assist doctors during radiological procedures, ensuring thatpre-, peri-, and post-procedure nursing standards are consistently maintained.
  • Ensure appropriate preparation of patients and provide clear guidance and support throughout their radiology experience.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of nursing equipment and ensure equipment is handled and used correctly and safely.
  • Conduct the necessary quality assurance and safety checks on equipment prior to use on patients.
  • Work closely with radiographers, doctors, and support staff to coordinate care and ensure patients receive a seamless and positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance withradiation safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and clinical projects to promote continuous improvement in patient safety, care delivery, and service quality.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, teamwork, communication, and clinical practice.
  • Undertake other duties and assignments as required by the department.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Nurse with a recognised nursing qualification and valid professional registration.
  • Relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology, or a procedure-based clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection prevention and control, and nursing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
