As a Senior Staff Nurse in our 24-Hour Urgent Care Centre, you'll provide advanced clinical care and act as the clinical and operational anchor on shift - supporting junior nurses, coordinating care delivery, and upholding our standards for patient safety and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced clinical care & emergency leadership - Provide advanced nursing care for moderate-to-high acuity patients, perform rapid assessments and interventions for unstable patients, lead or support resuscitation efforts, and act as a clinical resource for complex/high-risk cases.
Operational coordination & staff supervision - Oversee shift workflow, staff deployment, and patient allocation provide real-time clinical supervision and guidance to nursing staff mentor and coach junior nurses, and support competency assessments and training.
Billing, financial & documentation oversight - Ensure accurate charge capture, review nursing/discharge documentation for completeness, and support resolution of billing discrepancies with admin/finance teams.
Stock, infection control & regulatory oversight - Oversee medication/consumables inventory and controlled drug accountability, reinforce infection prevention compliance, and oversee accuracy of medical reports for regulatory/audit purposes.
Quality, safety & risk management - Monitor compliance with clinical protocols, participate in incident investigations, implement corrective/preventive actions, and lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Patient & family engagement - Manage complex patient/family concerns with empathy, support discharge planning and patient education, and reinforce service excellence standards.
Diploma in Nursing or BSc (Nursing) from a recognized institution
Current SNB registration with a valid practising certificate and valid BCLS certification
Minimum 5-7 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in urgent care, emergency, acute, or ambulatory care settings), including at least 2-3 years in a senior/supervisory nursing role with demonstrated leadership.
ACLS certification and emergency/urgent care-related certifications (e.g. ENCC, ATNCC) an advantage.
Proven ability managing high-acuity patients and leading emergency response
Strong working knowledge of patient flow, escalation protocols, and acute care coordination
Experience with clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit frameworks
Familiarity with billing workflows and charge capture in private healthcare
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
Able and willing to work on rotating shifts (including overnight shifts), weekends, and public holidays.
