Senior/ Staff Nurse (Office Hours - Alternate 5.5 days)

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments, administering medications, and providing nursing interventions as required

• Preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, arranging instruments, and opening sterile packs.

• Monitoring patient health, documenting progress, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes

• Assisting with patient positioning, skin preparation, and transferring patients to the recovery room

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations

• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families

• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of nursing practices and protocols

• Assisting with the training and supervision of junior nursing staff

• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution

• Registered Nurse with a valid practicing certificate, and with 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Prior work experience within the operating theatre (OT) will be an added advantage

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a 5.5-day alternate schedule
