Responsibilities
Conducting patient assessments, administering medications, and providing nursing interventions as required
Preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, arranging instruments, and opening sterile packs.
Monitoring patient health, documenting progress, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes
Assisting with patient positioning, skin preparation, and transferring patients to the recovery room
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations
Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of nursing practices and protocols
Assisting with the training and supervision of junior nursing staff
Ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
Registered Nurse with a valid practicing certificate, and with 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role
Prior work experience within the operating theatre (OT) will be an added advantage
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a 5.5-day alternate schedule
