Provide nursing care and patient education through coordination, care management and evaluation for an assigned group of patients and/or patient related activities in a Correctional Healthcare environment
Provide optimal care to meet desired patient outcomes and experiences
Participate in doctors rounds and review daily action and treatment plans
Assist doctors during clinical procedures, examination and clinical assessment of patients as appropriate Perform a variety of simple invasive and noninvasive procedures related to care plans, within the scope of duties
Provide accurate and timely documentation of patients progress, nursing care, and treatment received
Assess patient and develop/implement discharge plan based on patient needs
Comply with operational and nursing guidelines and safe practices according to organisation's set standards.
Demonstrate required core and special competencies in nursing
Maintain current trends in clinical knowledge and competence continuing nursing education
Supervise junior nursing personnel in providing quality nursing care
Assist in the orientation and induction programmes for trainees and new employees
Participate in quality improvement activities, research and committees as assigned, to improve nursing care.
Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
Recognised Diploma or Degree in Nursing or its equivalent
State Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board
Able to work on 3-rotating or 12-hour shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays
Comfortable to work in a Correctional Healthcare environment
