RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Specialist, Trade Compliance & Logistics to support trade operations, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and efficient execution of import, export, transshipment, and drop shipment activities. The role will be responsible for managing shipments across Singapore, China, India, USA, Malaysia, and other Asia-Pacific countries while ensuring adherence to customs, export control, and corporate compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in international logistics operations, shipping documentation, customs regulations, trade compliance processes, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Trade Compliance - Support import and export activities in compliance which may include Singapore, Malaysia, India, USA, and other applicable trade regulations.
- Review shipping documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Air Waybills, and Bills of Lading for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with HS code classification, country of origin determination, and product compliance reviews.
- Support import/export control compliance activities, including screening for EAR, OFAC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate trade compliance records and documentation.
- Assist in internal compliance reviews and audits.
Logistics Operations - Coordinate international import, export, transshipment, and drop shipment activities.
- Manage Singapore inbound, outbound & trans-shipments which may include from China, USA, India, and regional suppliers
- Manage drop shipment transactions where orders are placed through Singapore but goods are shipped directly from manufacturing locations to customers globally.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery, documentation, and customs clearance issues.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and warehouse providers to ensure timely shipment execution.
- Support freight cost management and transportation optimization initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with regional stakeholders across Singapore, India, China, USA, and Asia-Pacific markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Processes and Escalation Matrix owner
- Collaboration with REC and Reliance Stakeholders which include Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Tax, Finance, Compliance team

QUALIFICATIONS- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5years of relevant experience in international trade compliance, customs, logistics, or supply chain operations. Experience from oil & gas, construction and machinery industry will have an added advantage.
- Expertise in international trade compliance, customs regulations, logistics operations, Incoterms, HS classification, import/export controls, ERP/SAP systems, and trade documentation.
- Hands-on experience in TradeNet and proficiency in SAP ERP.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
