Job Description

The FairPrice Group Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) or Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Demand Planning Manager to lead the strategic transformation of our supply chain. This pivotal role involves overseeing the migration of our core Forecasting & Replenishment platforms and acting as the primary business leader collaborating with AI/ML engineers. The goal is to continuously refine and optimize our predictive capabilities, driving significant improvements in forecast accuracy within the Retail and FMCG sectors.

Responsibilities

Platform Migration:

  • Direct the strategic planning and execution of upcoming Forecasting & Replenishment platform migrations, ensuring seamless transition and data integrity.
  • Support in structuring and setting up Demand AI/ML with the new platform, considering inputs and customizations required for FPG.

AI/ML Integration:

  • Act as the subject matter expert bridging the gap between demand planning functions and AI/ML engineering teams to continuously improve forecasting models.

Operational Leadership:

  • Lead the core demand planning functions, managing processes related to demand shaping,

inventory optimization, and consensus forecasting.

  • Create the workflow that bridges communications and collaboration between stakeholders, including and not limited to Buyers, Planners, Logistics and Operations.

Optimization:

  • Identify and implement enhancements to FPG's forecasting methodologies, leveraging Machine Learning and Agentic AI to boost predictive performance.

Category Management and Strategy:

  • Participate in category reviews to identify opportunities and provide insights to improve productivity and Days on Hand (DOH).
  • Respond to store inquiries, including special requests and delivery issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in inventory replenishment, supply chain planning, or similar roles

in large retail or technology firms.

Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and related tools.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with fresh produce and/or e-commerce sectors is a plus.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Knowledge in SAP and/or replenishment system using Excel/Anaplan/Relex is an added advantage

Retail experience will be an added advantage
