Job Description

As our Corporate Sustainability Manager/Senior Specialist, you'll be the architect of Q Collection's sustainability strategy. You'll work hand-in-hand with passionate leaders across the company to identify and implement groundbreaking initiatives. Job Description:

Sustainable Fashion Narrative Development

. Lead the creation and refinement of Q's compelling sustainability narrative, highlighting the company's commitment to environmental and social responsibility throughout the apparel manufacturing lifecycle.

. Research and analyze industry trends and best practices in sustainable fashion to inform narrative development.

Sustainable KPIs and Milestone

. Lead development & track progress of KPIs & Milestones for internal sustainability task forces,
ensuring alignment with environmental and social sustainability performance across
the organisation and its value chain.

. Hold taskforces accountable for achieving sustainability objectives through KPIs to deliver real

. Work with Executive Sponsors to manage project funding responsibly, focusing on timely completion of sustainability milestones.

Investor Relations & Communications

. Develop and prepare investor-worthy materials showcasing Q's sustainability initiatives and their impact on the company's long-term value proposition.

. Manage communication with investors regarding Q's sustainability efforts, ensuring transparency and building trust.

Internal & External Sustainability Communications

. Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy to foster employee engagement and understanding of Q's sustainability goals.

. Craft and execute external sustainability communications campaigns to raise awareness of Q's sustainability leadership among customers, media, and the public.

. Secretariat for monthly sustainability team meetings, and preparing impactful materials for quarterly board updates.

Strategic Partnerships

. Identify and build strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, NGOs, and companies aligned with Q's sustainability goals.

. Manage and cultivate relationships with key partners, fostering collaboration on joint sustainability initiatives.

. Develop compelling communication materials to showcase these partnerships and their positive impact.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as:

  • Sustainability
  • Environmental Science / Engineering
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Communications
  • Marketing (with a focus on sustainability)
  • Fashion Design (with a strong understanding of sustainable practices)


Candidates with 3-5+ years of experience in a relevant field are typically preferred. This experience should ideally encompass:

  • Communications/Presentations: Developing and executing strategic communication campaigns that elevate sustainability initiatives.
  • Deep Sustainability Knowledge: Possessing a strong understanding of sustainability practices across various aspects, including technical green operations and corporate sustainability
  • Collaboration Expertise: Building and nurturing partnerships with organizations aligned with your sustainability goals.
  • Strategic Implementation: Demonstrating success in developing and implementing effective sustainability strategies within a complex matrixed organization.

Additional factors that may strengthen your application include:

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in apparel and a strong understanding of sustainable practices in manufacturing. (Optional: Experience with ESG investing, CDP, TCFD, ISSB etc is a plus)
  • Investor Savvy: Proven ability to craft clear and compelling materials targeted towards investors.
  • Leadership & Communication: A track record of leading meetings, managing projects, and analyzing data effectively.
  • Impactful Changemaker: Demonstrated experience implementing and successfully executing sustainability initiatives.
  • Exceptional Skills:
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills to influence internal and external stakeholders, even without direct reporting lines.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a clear sense of urgency.
    • Top-notch analytical skills with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward without constant oversight.
    • A positive, solutions-oriented, and creative mindset.
    • Openness to feedback and a strong desire to learn and multitask effectively.

Apparel industry experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Some travelling (30%) to Bangladesh will also be required.
