Job Description

The specialist of Group Consolidation & Reporting will oversee the end-to-end financial consolidation process for the Group's subsidiaries. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, compliance with statutory requirements, and the delivery of high-quality management insights to the management team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Group Financial Consolidation

  • Prepare the half yearly, and year-end closing process for the Group.
  • Review consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, equity accounting for associates/JVs and to answer any queries with consolidation matters.
  • Liaise with finance stakeholders and external auditors to oversee and facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring timely closing of consolidation and cash flow statements, and supporting compliance with financial standards.

2. Statutory Reporting

  • Prepare the Group's consolidated financial statements and cash flow statements in accordance with SFRS(I) and Group requirements.
  • Review the Financial Report and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely filing.
  • Review and prepare the subsidiaries financial statement and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely filing.
  • Review the XBRL files prepared are in order, timely and filed accordingly.
  • To liaise with company secretary to ensure all filings are done on time.

3. Technical Accounting & Governance

  • Establish and maintain Group accounting policies to ensure standardized practices across different entities.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and assist with the implementation of new standards (eg: FRS 118, FRS 119).

4. Corporate tax reporting

  • Review and prepare the tax information for corporate tax info requirements.
  • Review the corporate tax computations and ensure the computations are in order before submission.
  • Work closely with the tax agents to ensure all tax computations are submitted with IRAS timely.

5. Impairment assessment

  • Prepare the outlets impairment assessment
  • Work closely with different finance stakeholders to gather the necessary info for impairment assessment
  • Work closely with external auditors and finalise the impairment assessment

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional qualification such as CA Singapore, ACCA, or CPA is an added advantage
  • Experience in impairment assessment
  • Knowledge of corporate tax compliance and calculations
  • Hands-on experience in the finalisation of audited financial statements
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
