Key Responsibilities:
- Customs Solution Design & Optimization:
- Design competitive and compliant import/export customs solutions tailored for APAC supply chain operations.
- Lead the design of end-to-end customs processes for supply chain business, ensuring schemes are operationally feasible and executable.
0. 0. Compliance Management & Risk Control:
- Establish and maintain a robust customs compliance management system for the APAC region. Monitor dynamic changes in customs regulations across various countries, promptly assess potential impacts, and formulate effective response strategies.
- Conduct internal compliance audits to identify and rectify risk points in customs operations; lead the response to customs inspections and manage trade compliance emergencies.
- Manage AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certifications, various import/export licenses, and regulatory filings to ensure the continued validity of company and client qualifications.
0. 0. Operational Support & Efficiency Enhancement:
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to resolve exceptions in daily import/export clearance, significantly improving clearance turnaround times and success rates.
- Drive the digitalization and intelligent transformation of customs processes, leveraging technology to enhance data accuracy and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree or above. Degrees in International Trade, Logistics Management, Customs Administration, or Law are preferred.
3. 3. Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in APAC supply chain customs and import/export trade compliance.
- Must possess hands-on operational knowledge and deep regulatory expertise across multiple APAC countries (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, South Korea).
5. 5. Professional Skills:
- Proficient in commodity classification (HS coding), customs valuation, rules of origin, and the strategic application of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
- In-depth familiarity with customs clearance procedures in Singapore and ASEAN countries, bonded warehouse management, and Free Trade Zone (FTZ) policies.
- Possess excellent risk control awareness; proven track record of leading or participating in customs inspection responses and internal compliance audit projects.
- Holding relevant professional customs certifications (e.g., CCS, CTCS, Certified Customs Specialist) is highly preferred.
