About R&D:
The R&D organization at ANSR MedTech is being built to support the development, testing, and long-term sustainment of complex, regulated products used at global scale.
This team plays a critical role in engineering excellence, product quality, and operational reliability, working closely with global R&D leaders to deliver against well-defined technical standards, quality systems, and product outcomes.
Unlike a traditional offshore or support model, R&D in India is designed to take on meaningful ownership across the product lifecycle, particularly in areas where scale, focus, and execution discipline are essential.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out:
- Work on real, production grade products that require high engineering rigor, reliability, and regulatory discipline.
- Be part of a team that spans embedded software, mobile applications, systems engineering, test automation, and lifecycle engineering.
- Contribute to end-to-end R&D workflows—from development and verification through sustaining engineering and triage.
- Help build and scale a new R&D capability from the ground up, shaping labs, automation, ways of working, and quality culture.
- Partner directly with senior global R&D leaders and engineers, gaining exposure to how products are built and operated at enterprise scale.
How the R&D Team Operates:
- Teams are based in India and embedded in day-to-day delivery, not isolated support functions.
- Technical direction, quality standards, and product outcomes are globally aligned, with strong local execution and accountability.
- The organization is built under a Build–Operate–Transfer (BOT) model with ANSR, with responsibilities expanding as the site matures.
- Success is measured by engineering quality, predictable delivery, adherence to quality systems, reduced defects over time, and strong collaboration with global R&D teams.
Job Summary:
The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Web Applications (Automation) is responsible for leading quality efforts for complex web and API-based software systems. This role plays a critical part in defining test strategy, designing and evolving automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality, scalable, and compliant software releases.
The Senior SQA Engineer partners closely with Software Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This position is hands-on and requires deep expertise in test automation, web and API testing, performance testing, and modern CI/CD practices. The role also provides technical leadership and mentoring to other QA engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust manual and automated test frameworks supporting web applications and API services within an Agile SDLC.
- Define and implement test strategies, methodologies, and best practices, including functional, regression, integration, and non functional testing.
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive automated and manual test suites for web and API-based systems.
- Plan, design, and execute performance and scalability testing to evaluate system behavior under expected and peak load conditions.
- Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, stability risks, and capacity limitations, and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to engineering and leadership stakeholders.
- Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, BlazeMeter, Locust, or equivalent tools to support load, stress, and endurance testing activities.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, DevOps, and Architecture teams to integrate automated and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and release readiness criteria, where applicable.
- Drive defect identification, root cause analysis, and resolution, working cross functionally to ensure timely and effective fixes.
- Develop and maintain test data strategies, including test databases and datasets required for automated and performance validation of software revisions.
- Participate in product design and technical reviews, providing input on quality, testability, performance risk, and reliability early in the development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior and mid level QA engineers, providing guidance on automation frameworks, performance testing fundamentals, and test design best practices.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, IT, and other cross functional teams to ensure consistent quality standards and release readiness.
- Support regulatory and compliance activities by ensuring testing activities are properly documented and aligned with applicable standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 14971).
- Perform other duties as required to support overall quality objectives and successful product releases.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands on testing of web based and mobile applications.
- 5+ years of hands on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for web and API-based systems.
- Proven experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross functional teams.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in test automation using Java, Selenium, and Python.
- Advanced understanding of HTTP protocols, REST, and SOAP services.
