Drive the development of AI-powered applications and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and intelligent automation capabilities.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best engineering practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product managers, business users, architects, DevOps teams, and external vendors to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Design and optimize microservices, backend integrations, databases, and APIs to support enterprise-scale performance and reliability requirements.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and operational excellence.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and support automated deployment pipelines through GitLab CI within the SHIP-HATS ecosystem.
Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve system stability and performance.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, AI advancements, cybersecurity practices, and software engineering trends to continuously improve technical capabilities and innovation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline with at least 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience in full-stack web application development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend technologies and TypeScript/Python backend development.
Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability, and mission-critical enterprise systems.
Hands-on experience or strong exposure to Generative AI (GenAI), including LLMs, RAG frameworks, AI-driven applications, and intelligent workflow automation.
Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipeline management using GitLab CI
