We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Scala/Java development and a background in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of software engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and modern development tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Scala/Java
- Apply OOP and Functional Programming principles
- Design and implement solutions using CQRS and Event Sourcing
- Follow TDD, BDD and clean code practices
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD processes
- Work closely with teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Analyze and optimize existing code and application performance
- Clearly communicate technical designs and solutions
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Scala/Java development
- Strong knowledge of OOP and Functional Programming
- Experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and software engineering best practices
- Experience with TDD, BDD, ATDD and Feature Files
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory and Ansible
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Good to Have
- Experience with ReactJS, AngularJS or Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of AMPS messaging
- Experience with SQL/database programming
- Knowledge of Capital Markets, especially securities trade processing, clearing and settlements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
