Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement scalable solutions and data integration workflows.
- Collaborate with vendors and BI teams to review and improve technical specifications, functional documents and mappings.
- Develop and validate code to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (data warehouse, flat files, APIs).
- Configure and maintain data environments across development, testing, and production (Unix, databases, R2web).
- Automate data validations and monitoring scripts to ensure data integrity and early issue detection.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure all vendor code meets engineering standards before deployment.
- Coordinate and deploy ETL packages and related scripts across environments using CI/CD pipelines or deployment tools.
- Work with system teams to configure job scheduling and monitor recurring data load processes.
- Define and implement data recovery and exception handling strategies for ETL workflows.
- Support impact analysis for change requests and assess the downstream effects of data changes.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, system diagrams, and data flow diagrams in a centralized repository.
- Lead or participate in status meetings, report progress, and track issue resolution to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate on performance tuning, optimization of ETL processes, and long-term support strategy for production systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data integration, ETL development, or backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell, SQL).
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, custom scripts) and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g.,Control-M, Autosys).
- Experience deploying and managing code across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in data-centric applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
