Who are we looking for
BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!
What will you do
- Design and develop brand-new components that push the boundaries of performance, scalability and efficiency with Rust and/or Python
- Optimize and scale our existing trading infrastructure, ensuring it remains fast, robust, and reliable.
- Take full ownership of projects-your work directly influences the company's success.
- Collaborate with our traders, quants, and engineers to develop state-of-the-art trading technology.

What do we require from you
- 5+ years of commercial working experience as a Software Engineer in the trading/financial domain
- Affinity with our tech stack and the willingness to work with it. We use Rust and Python, but it is also great if you have experience with C++
- A solid understanding of asynchronous programming
- Experience in the trading domain
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- A critical mind who follows things until completion
- The ability to confidently work on completely new components
- A high level of responsibility and ownership
