Senior Software Engineer (Banking)

We are partnered with an established international wealth management institution looking to expand their engineering capability.

This opportunity sits within an agile product engineering group dedicated to client facing web platforms. The role centres on building high performance, secure, and intuitive browser applications, with roughly eighty percent focus on front end architecture and twenty percent on back end microservices integration.

Key Responsibilities

. Craft modern, component driven web interfaces ensuring high performance, accessibility, and modular design

. Develop resilient back end microservices and interface with existing core application programming interfaces

. Oversee features through complete delivery cycles, spanning design, automated unit testing, deployment, and live site support

. Diagnose system bottlenecks, resolve build and pipeline issues, and ensure adherence to clean architecture principles

. Partner closely with product owners and distributed engineering teams to deliver iterative product updates

Requirements

. Solid hands on engineering experience with modern Angular and TypeScript, combined with Java and Spring Boot

. Practical exposure to relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL, alongside container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

. Proven track record in automated testing using tooling such as Jest, JUnit, and Mockito

. Practical familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and version control workflows via GitLab

. Financial services or banking domain background is an added advantage
