Position Summary
Join Alpha X Technology as a Senior Software Engineer , where you'll design and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency and advance digital transformation, with a focus on MES solutions for the semiconductor industry. This role involves full-stack development, system integration and production support in high-transaction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate user requirements into robust technical designs, test plans and deployment checklists.
- Design and implement frontend and backend MES features own endtoend delivery for assigned modules.
- Develop automated tests and Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, drive code quality through design reviews and automated testing.
- Lead integration testing and performance optimisation for hightransaction manufacturing environments to meet reliability and scalability targets.
- Modify or configure MES functions to support continuous improvement, including integration with surrounding systems and peripherals.
- Prepare and maintain documentation: technical designs, runbooks, acceptance criteria and deploy/run procedures for maintainability and auditability.
- Lead production support activities: troubleshoot incidents, perform rootcause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and reduce Mean Time to Repair/Recover (MTTR).
- Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks propose workarounds and escalate residual risks with recommended mitigations.
- Champion reduction of technical debt and continuous improvement of delivery pipelines and operational reliability.
- Act as the technical liaison with Product, Delivery and client SMEs to align engineering decision with business and operational constraints.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers lead knowledge transfers and technical onboarding for new team members.
- Perform any adhoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full-stack Java development, preferably within the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
- Strong proficiency in Java technologies including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JSF, Hibernate, and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, and core web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
- Solid experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or DB2.
- Knowledge of version control systems like GIT.
- Demonstrates technical leadership and mentorship, owns delivery and operational reliability for assigned MES modules, enforces quality standards and test coverage, and proactively reduces technical debt while collaborating across Product and Delivery teams.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, and practical experience with automated testing (unit and integration).
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in production support (incident RCA, MTTR reduction), monitoring, and
- runbook creation.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
