Job Description
- Oversee development, support, and management of in-house applications and AI systems.
- Ensure quality delivery of IT services and adoption of best practices and technologies.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor software engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Plan, analyze, and manage budgets, system architecture, technologies, and resources for development projects.
- Develop technical and project roadmaps, and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate and collaborate with managers, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Prioritize, delegate, and monitor engineers tasks and deliverables.
- Ensure successful implementation and integration of systems using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Maintain and improve DevSecOps and CI/CD processes.
- Oversee AI and data system development.
- Manage service requests, incidents, problems, change requests, and project delivery.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
- Conduct regular team performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Identify business needs and recommend system improvements.
- Support complex system environments and provide user assistance and training.
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement optimal solutions.
- Participate in business analysis and technical design sessions.
- Support audit, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Deploy system solutions and ensure smooth integration.
- Coordinate project elements to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Align project goals with team execution and navigate risks and obstacles.
- Communicate project status internally and externally.
- Lead teams, define goals, and manage projects through completion.
- Avoid or resolve stakeholder conflicts and secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication.
- Monitor stakeholder engagement and ensure shared understanding of objectives. Set objectives for team members, monitor performance, and take necessary actions.
- Provide career development guidance and handle routine HR responsibilities.
- Ensure the team receives proper development opportunities and support.
Job Requirements
- Possess Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in system development and support.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and Security by Design.
- Experience in both waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in effort and duration estimation, including requirements, design, testing, implementation, data mapping, and interfaces (added advantage).
- Experience modernizing legacy applications with modern technologies (optional but preferred).
