We are seeking a Senior Social Worker and Team Lead to provide professional practice leadership, oversee complex casework, and supervise the social work team. This role will support Conferences in accompanying Friends-In-Needs (FINs) while strengthening service delivery, staff capability, and community partnerships.
Job Descriptions - Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end case management, including complex and high-risk cases, covering assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Deliver professional leadership in social work practice, including complex case review, holistic assessment, service coordination, and capability-building, while ensuring ethical, high-quality standards.
- Lead and develop programmes and interventions, including group work and new initiatives, to better meet evolving client and community needs.
- Drive strategic partnerships and community engagement, representing the organization in inter-agency platforms and strengthening collaboration with community and government partners.
- Strengthen community support systems to enhance the psycho-social well-being of families and the wider community.
- Oversee team supervision and professional development, building the capabilities of staff and supporting Conferences through training, mentoring, and guidance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Social Work RSW preferred.
- At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in the social service sector.
- Experience in supervision and team leadership, with the ability to support staff development and practice.
- Familiarity with professional ethics, practice standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g. NCSS guidelines).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with volunteers and community partners.
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgement and provide practice leadership in a collaborative environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and case management systems.
- Open to learning, adaptable, and aligned with the organization's values.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
