Senior/Social Worker

Brief Summary

A dynamic opportunity is available for a professional to engage in casework, counselling, and community initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable families. The role emphasizes collaboration with community partners and implementing effective operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments by integrating diverse information to identify client needs. Utilize professional tools and templates to assist staff in case evaluation and planning. Advocate for vulnerable families to ensure access to equal opportunities through collaboration with community partners. Participate in client and community assessments, as well as group work processes and specialized intervention strategies. Assist in implementing the centre's operational protocols, processes, and policies alongside senior professionals. Complete other assigned duties by the Head of Centre.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution, or a relevant degree in Counselling or Psychology. An inclination towards research and planning is preferable. Strong relational skills to effectively network with government agencies and community partners. Ability to understand client needs and manage associated risks. Demonstrated capacity for reflective practice and stakeholder engagement. Knowledge of the SASW code of professional ethics and Code of Social Work Practice. Familiarity with resource systems and the capacity to advocate for client needs. Competency in Microsoft Office applications willingness to conduct home visits as needed.
