The company is seeking a hands-on and experienced Senior Site Engineer to support civil engineering and ground improvement works for major infrastructure and construction projects in Singapore. The role will be responsible for daily site supervision, planning, coordination, inspection, documentation and execution of civil works in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, project specifications and safety requirements.

The successful candidate should have strong practical experience in Singapore construction site operations, particularly in ground improvement, piling, deep excavation support or major civil infrastructure works.

KeyResponsibilities

. Supervise, monitor and coordinate daily site activities for civil engineering and ground improvement works.

. Plan and schedule daily work activities to ensure smooth site execution and timely completion.

. Coordinate with consultants, Resident Engineer, Resident Technical Officer, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams for inspections and work progress.

. Prepare and submit RFI, inspection records, daily reports, weekly progress reports and monthly progress updates.

. Review construction drawings, approved shop drawings and method statements before site execution.

. Highlight discrepancies in drawings, site conditions or work sequences to the project team for timely resolution.

. Coordinate material ordering, concrete works, cube testing, slump testing and site quality checks.

. Assist in the preparation of progress claims, quantity checks and site documentation.

. Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor performance on site.

. Ensure works are carried out incompliance with project safety, quality and environmental requirements.

. Attend technical meetings, site coordination meetings and inspection discussions when required.

. Support the Project Manager /Construction Manager in resolving site issues and ensuring project deliverables are met.

Requirements

. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.

. Minimum 10 years of relevant construction site experience, with substantial experience in Singapore construction projects.

. Minimum 5 years of experience in major infrastructure, LTA, transport, tunnelling, ground improvement or similar civil engineering projects.

. Experience handling site supervision, inspection coordination, progress reporting, quantity checking, material coordination and method statement support.

. Practical experience coordinating with consultants and resolving site execution issues.

. Able to coordinate inspections with consultant, RE and RTO teams.

. Able to prepare and manage RFI submissions, inspection records, progress reports and site documentation.

. Able to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.

. Experience in planning daily site activities, coordinating manpower and monitoring work progress.

. Familiar with workplace safety requirements and site documentation practices in Singapore construction projects.

. Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD or related drafting software will be an advantage.

. Possession of relevant safety certification, such as Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course or equivalent, will be an advantage.

. Able to work on construction sites and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.

. Candidates with experience in ground engineering, foundation works, civil infrastructure or LTA-related projects will be preferred.

. Able to commit to long working hours to meet tight project deadlines: 6-day work week, 7.30 am-6 pm.
