Job Summary
Lead and manage onsite NDT testing operations, ensuring compliance with SINGLAS accreditation standards. Provide expert analysis, review technical documents, and deliver training to support high-quality material testing services.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee NDT testing, soil density testing, and rebound hammer tests onsite, ensuring accurate test arrangement, execution, and reporting
- Analyze test data and provide expert counsel to coworkers and customers for critical decision-making
- Manage compliance with SINGLAS accreditation requirements and maintain laboratory inspection readiness
- Review construction drawings and technical specifications to draw informed testing conclusions
- Deliver formal and informal presentations on testing results to diverse stakeholders
- Review test reports to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards are consistently met
- Develop and deliver technical training materials to laboratory colleagues to enhance team capabilities
- Apply advanced testing methods, procedures, and materials to conduct thorough analysis
Competencies and qualifications
- Working knowledge of construction site and laboratory safety practices
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Possession of Class 3 driving license
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in a testing laboratory environment
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Material Science and related field
- Deep knowledge and critical understanding of civil engineering theories, concepts, and terminology
- Demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element's business
