Our client is seeking an experienced Shipbroker in the shipping industry, preferably within the chemicals market. This role involves leveraging strong market knowledge and client relationships to grow the business, develop new opportunities, and deliver profitable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand and service a portfolio of clients while working with a global team of brokers.
- Build on existing client relationships and establish new connections in the chemicals sector.
- Negotiate and fix deals profitably while providing market insights and intelligence to clients.
- Gather, analyse, and update market data using internal systems.
- Provide consistent communication and relationship management through meetings, calls, and emails.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience, ideally with expertise in the chemicals market.
- Established client base and proven track record of developing new business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Driven, adaptable, and eager to achieve business goals while continuously learning.
