Senior Security Officer

Primary Responsibilities:

Provision of Security

• The primary role of a Senior Security Officer is to protect life and property against pandemic crisis, theft, vandalism, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster on assigned shift in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
• Conducting routine patrols, looking out for suspicious persons, fires, mischiefs or safety hazards.
• Ensure physical safety of the property by checking that all doors, windows, lights, equipment, locks and emergency equipment is locked to prevent any unlawful entry and responds to any distress calls and alarms.
• Ensuring fire alarm and security systems, such as main fire alarm/ sub alarm panel, public address system, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and panic alarm, lightings are working properly and reports of any breakdown or defect of the systems to the management.
• Assistance request by internal or external guest on Safety & Security that requires investigation, advice or follow-up.
• Guest luggage assistance, when front office associate is not able to attend.
• Covering the Security Officer Roles and Responsibility when Security Officer is not available.
• First Aid assistance when require
• Company Emergency Response Team (CERT). Covering SMC (Site Main Controller)or SIC (Site Incident Controller) roles and responsibility
• On-site vendor service escort on preventive or upgrading of Security system.
• Providing assistance on Security related equipment and devices. (Lockset & Safe deposit)
• Adhere directions given by superior on roster, duty and other security related matters.
• Conduct handing over and taking over briefing or update new information to the oncoming shift.
• Assist on Company special events setup when required too.
• Conduct Training for new Security associate on duty

Writing and Submitting Reports

• Conduct investigations of any relevant incident / accident reports and follow up actions. Submission of comprehensive reports and submit to management in regard of findings.
• Conduct relevant interviews and recording of necessary reports in the absence of Senior Security Officer.
• Recordings of Visitors, Contractors identity who visited the premises, that includes the duration of time in the premises.
• Conduct monthly report inventory on FSafety & Security related equipment, First Aid item, devices etc.

Maintaining Law and Order

• Conduct investigation of any suspicious activities that take place within the premises.
• Reporting of any unlawful activities such as theft or mischief to law enforcement officers for further action. If he finds any trespassers or criminals during routine patrols, he detains them and update the Security Manager for approval to call the Singapore police force.
• Senior Security Officers must not disclosed any sensitive case information in public or to others.
