Job Summary:
Senior Sea Freight Operations Specilaist, will require you to oversee the day-to-day operations. The responsibility will also be to monitor and report key performance parameters to ensure the KPIs are achieved Will also need to liaise with customs, port authorities and shipping lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall operations with ocean freight as the main product To be responsible for the operational results and administration of all containers services and network connections.
- Responsible for planning, building the team and give proper training and task assignment to team members.
- To monitor performance, analyze profits margins of RFQ of each service contract.
- To check profit and loss (PNL) development of ocean products monthly.
- Responsible for the quantity and quality, good performance in billing and job costing in ocean operations.
- Responsible for the monthly performance data preparation and review.
- To participate in meetings with the marketing / sales team for major trade lanes in cooperation with others company subsidiaries in the area/regional.
- Work together with the sales team for customer relationship management and implementation of new service - customer implementation (non-complex).
- Work closely with partners overseas to define necessary products to achieve the targets budgeted.
- Vendor contract and performance review & work in accordance with the compliance rules and policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a similar discipline. Relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
- A demonstrated track record of 10+ years of progressive professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point) Knowledge of procedures for international and domestic freight, trucking and warehouse services Dangerous goods awareness
