Senior Scientist (AOT), IMRE

We are looking for talented and highly motivated candidates to work on the research and development of flat optics, towards their industry translation.

The recruited scientist will work full-time in the National Semiconductor Translation and Innovation Centre (NSTIC), managed by A.STAR. The candidate should have a solid background and hands-on experience in the research of flat optics and/or optical metasurfaces. He/She shall be able to perform independent research and solve challenging problems together with the team to deliver high impact results.

The main work scope of the position is:

• Design and simulation of flat optics, including multi-layered flat optics.
• Work closely with the micro-nanofabrication team to realize the flat optics designs.
• Perform optical characterization and closed-loop analysis to minimize design-to-fab errors.
• Technology development and translation to industry applications

Requirements:

• PhD in relevant fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experiences on flat optics or metaoptics is required, good knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools, programming and computer-aided design will be positively valued.
• Good team player, resilient in tackling challenge, effective communication ability.
