Responsibilities

Scope of the role

The Senior Scheduling Executive is responsible for managing the quarterly and daily, detailed television schedules for the organisation's free-to-air channels. The role ensures the strategic and accurate placement of programme, trailers, interstitials, and fillers to maximise promotional impact, audience engagement, and channel performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute quarterly and daily broadcast schedules for assigned television channels, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Strategically place promotional spots, trailers, and fillers to optimise audience reach and programme visibility.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strategic plans while coordinating with Playout, On-Air Promotions, Marketing, Content Standards, Subtitling, Commercials, and Media Exchange teams to meet all deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Managers on SOP development and operational requirements for live events; provide standby support during such events.
  • Plan and schedule secondary events such as banners and channel bugs and monitor sponsorship loadings for compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting scheduling and operational issues in consultation with Managers, ensuring minimal disruption to broadcast output.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by responding promptly to last-minute schedule changes and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Complete full reconciliation of schedules to verify data accuracy, content metadata, and sponsorship fulfilment.
  • Generate and review reports to monitor sponsorship performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Manage electronic programme guide (EPG) scheduling by ensuring all programme information, metadata, and synopses are accurate, complete, and delivered on time across all platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent in Mass Communication, Media and Communication or any related discipline in media production, broadcasting, or digital media technologies.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in the TV broadcast or media industry.
  • Exposure to scheduling, traffic management, or media operations preferred.
  • Fresh graduates or individuals with no prior experience are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.
  • Basic understanding of broadcast scheduling systems and workflows.
  • Keen interest and passion for local and international television content.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
