The Revenue Systems Team sits within the Growth department, providing the operational and systems backbone that turns Growth's acquisition and scaling efforts into sustainable, efficient revenue.The Revenue Systems team is a multi-disciplinary group of systems and analytical professionals passionate about driving commercial success through scalable technology. We work closely with Revenue, Marketing, Data, and Product teams to accelerate revenue growth, optimize efficiency, and build the GTM technology foundations supporting Airwallex's next phase. Our mandate is to translate business requirements into flexible, scalable systems-turning first-principles problem-solving into real operational impact across the revenue engine.
As a Senior Salesforce Engineer on our team, you'll drive the technical backbone of our GTM engine, architecting scalable backend services, writing robust business logic, and building seamless integrations across our GTM and external platforms. You'll also own system operations and support, keeping platforms healthy, monitoring integration pipelines, and acting as the technical escalation point for production issues and root-cause fixes. You'll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex business requirements into scalable systems, and help shape how Airwallex's commercial organization operates at scale.
Lead the design and development of complex backend features, writing scalable, high-performing code across Salesforce and supporting systems
Build integrations and APIs connecting our GTM systems (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.) with other platforms, ensuring these connections are reliable and resilient
Support complex production issues, digging into root causes and driving permanent fixes to reduce technical debt
Champion engineering quality and best practices across the team, helping shape how the team reviews and tests code
Design data models and structures that ensure information flows smoothly and reliably across our systems
Leverage modern AI coding tools to accelerate delivery, and help ensure AI-assisted work meets high engineering standards
Minimum qualifications (Must-have's)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of software engineering experience in backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or Go), including 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce backend experience, with a track record of designing scalable systems
Great communicator, able to lead technical discussions and translate trade-offs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Practical experience incorporating AI coding tools into daily development, with sound judgment on reviewing and validating AI-generated code
Working knowledge of modern integration patterns, including RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and event-driven architecture
Adaptable and resilient, able to balance long-term projects with urgent production issues as they arise
Preferred qualifications (Nice-to-have's)
Experience working in a high-growth tech company
Experience building a complex Salesforce org spanning multiple offices and instances
