Role Purpose

The Sales Professional will drive commercial success for a high-growth digital transformation initiative across the ASEAN region. The role focuses on securing new business, expanding existing client relationships, and positioning advanced modernization, embedded finance, and AI-powered solutions to deliver measurable business outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role translates innovative technology offerings into tangible value for financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and win modernization and transformation opportunities across banking, payments, and financial services organizations in ASEAN.
  • Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans aligned to growth objectives.

Client Engagement

  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Position the organization as a long-term strategic partner for digital and technology-led transformation.

Solution Selling

  • Collaborate with product, technical, and delivery teams to design compelling, outcome-driven solution proposals.
  • Leverage core value pillars such as Streamlining operations, Modernizing platforms, and Monetizing digital capabilities.

Market Insights

  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics across ASEAN financial services.
  • Use insights to shape sales strategies, solution positioning, and client conversations.

Thought Leadership

  • Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and client events.
  • Contribute to white papers, point-of-view documents, and targeted go-to-market campaigns to build market awareness.

Sales Process Excellence

  • Lead RFP/RFI responses, bid reviews, and pursuit governance.
  • Ensure compliance with structured, agile commercial and deal qualification frameworks.

Account Management

  • Expand footprint within existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat engagements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in solution sales, business development, or account management within banking, payments, or financial services in the ASEAN region.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payments engineering, transformation, and innovation.
  • Track record of selling modernization, cloud, or digital transformation programs.
  • Strong commercial acumen, balancing technical integrity with competitive pricing and win strategies.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills; confident engaging executive-level audiences.
  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger or similar).
  • Solid understanding of delivery risk, estimation, margin protection, and governance in large transformation programs.
  • University degree in business, IT, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.

Mandatory Skills

  • University degree or business-related qualification with strong IT affinity.
  • 10+ years of experience within banking, financial services, or technology-led consulting environments.
  • Strong functional domain expertise in: Core Banking, Payments, Lending, and Retail Banking

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with platforms or solutions such as:
  • Hogan, Temenos, Finacle, Euronet, Fiserv, or Banking-as-a-Service offerings
  • Additional domain knowledge in: Cross-border payments, Wealth management, and Business banking

Performance Metrics

  • Revenue influenced and/or closed through strategic digital transformation pursuits.
  • Win rate across bids and proposals supported.
  • Contribution to thought leadership, market enablement, and go-to-market initiatives.
