Our client is an international chemical trading and investment MNC backed by a blue-chip parent co which is stable and established. It is based in town (right next to a MRT station). This MNC offers flexi work arrangements (some WFH days is allowed).
We are looking to hire a senior sales executive reporting to the Deputy Mgr, Sales (Plastics team).
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for driving the commercial development of Engineering Plastics and Polymer business across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring sustainable growth, strong stakeholder engagement, and strict compliance with corporate governance standards.
Commercial & Business Development
Lead the sales and marketing of Engineering Plastics and Polymers across assigned Asia Pacific markets, delivering sustainable revenue and margin growth. Develop and execute market strategies in close alignment with principals to achieve short-, mid-, and long-term business objectives.
Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key customers to expand market presence and maximize share of business.
Identify new business opportunities and support product introductions, including customer presentations and technical engagement for new grades.
Supplier & Customer Management
Act as the primary liaison between principals, overseas offices, distributors, and end-users to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
Conduct regular pricing alignment, ensuring timely communication of weekly/monthly pricing to customers and distributors.
Support principals in achieving assigned sales budgets in accordance with agreed pricing frameworks.
Manage end-user engagement by coordinating agents, technical services, marketing, and distribution activities.
Financial, Credit & Risk Management
Establish and monitor customer credit lines, perform financial assessments, and ensure effective credit control in line with company policies.
Oversee outstanding receivables and take ownership of customer complaint resolution.
Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Planning, Reporting & Market Intelligence
Conduct half-yearly business reviews with suppliers and distributors against agreed budgets and targets.
Prepare monthly sales performance reports and management updates as required.
Provide timely and actionable market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively across internal teams and overseas offices, contributing to a high-performance and results-driven team culture.
Requirements:
Degree/ Diploma holder in any discipline
At least 2 years of working sales experience or/and similar industry is preferred.
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint (High Presentation level is required).
Knowledge in Engineering Plastics and Polymers would be preferred
