Senior Robotics Software Engineer (AMR/ Robotic/Automation)

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and test algorithms for the MAG AMR software platform.
• Improve MAG AMR's navigation by optimizing planning, path tracking, and control algorithms.
• Develop the behavior management system for MAG AMR.
• Work on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithms to meet mapping and localization needs.
• Create and build error handling systems for MAG AMR.
• Keep software updated to address security vulnerabilities.
• Document development work and maintain code documentation.
• Review teammates code to ensure quality.
• Work with international teams to fix ongoing bugs and issues.
• Help with on-site system deployments when needed.
• Assist the product team in updating user manuals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS2.
• Familiarity with Ubuntu OS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Practical experience working with real-world robots; building a robot is a plus.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fast learner with strong adaptability.
• (Bonus) Broad understanding of robotics systems, from mechanical and electrical parts to software.
