Are you fascinated by the world of commodities trading, numerically driven and possess an innate curiosity to how trades are financially managed We are looking for a Middle Office Risk Analyst for our reputed client who are one of the top few international trading houses.

The Middle Office Risk Analyst would be playing a pivotal role in trade capture, risk exposure monitoring, and PnL reporting. You will be responsible for setting up valuation/pricing curves, ensuring compliance with trading limits, and supporting new trading strategies.

Role

• Trade Capture & Risk Reporting: Ensure accurate trade entry, monitor risk exposures, and provide PnL attribution and pricing risk reports to traders.
• Risk Management: Maintain the trading business's risk profile within approved limits and risk appetite.
• Process & System Enhancement: Collaborate with traders, IT, and the Chief Risk Officer to improve risk systems and workflows.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with finance, trading, middle office, and operations teams.
• New Product Support: Assist in onboarding new trading strategies and products.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g., Financial Engineering, Finance, Economics). FRM, CFA, or similar certifications are a plus.
• Experience:At least 5 Years in Middle Office, Risk, or Trading Analysis, preferably in energy/metals trading.
• Big 4 Audit Experience/ Financial Institutions: Candidates with commodities trading audit experience at a Big 4 firm/ Product Control experience at Financial Institutions are also relevant.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in ETRM systems and risk management tools.
• Strong understanding of back/middle office processes in commodities trading.
